Data processed
| Data | Why | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wallet address and worker name sent by your mining software | Credit your shares, compute and send your payouts, show your stats | Performance of the service (art. 6.1.b) | Shares: deleted once each block's rewards are computed. Balances and payouts: as long as the pool runs (they are also public on the blockchain). Per-worker hashrate stats: 180 days. |
| Rig connection IP address (stratum) | Security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) | Stored with shares (same retention) and in the pool's technical logs: 6 months at most. |
| Web server logs (IP, page requested, browser, date) | Security and operation of the site | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) | 31 days at most. |
Wallet addresses, blocks and payouts are public on their blockchains by nature: VeinPool shows per-address stats like every block explorer does.
What stays in your browser
The site uses no tracking cookie and no analytics. It only stores in your browser's local storage: your language, the addresses you follow in "My dashboard", the address typed in the command generator and your preferences (sound, animations). This never leaves your device; you can clear it any time in your browser settings.
Notifications (rig offline, block found) are local browser notifications, only if you allow them; no data is sent for them.
Third parties
- YouTube: videos are shown as a preview; the player (youtube-nocookie.com) only loads when you click a video.
- Coin prices: relayed by our servers from CoinGecko; your browser does not contact CoinGecko.
- Fonts: served from our servers (no request to Google).
- Discord, GitHub, explorers, miner pages: only if you follow a link to them; they have their own policies.
Hosting and transfers
Servers are hosted by OVH in France / the European Union. No data is sold or shared with third parties.
