How to Mine Phoenixcoin (PXC): Complete GPU Mining Guide 2026

Phoenixcoin (PXC), launched in 2013, was the first coin to move to NeoScrypt: 3.125 PXC per block about every 90 seconds, on a very small network. On VeinPool: PPLNS or SOLO pool, 1% fee, same miners and settings as Feathercoin. This guide shows step by step how to mine Phoenixcoin on VeinPool, a French mining pool with a 1% fee and no sign-up: your wallet address is all you need.

Ports

  • Pool (PPLNS): stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3680 · TLS: stratum+ssl://veinpool.fr:13680
  • Pool (PPLNS) · farms: stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3681 · TLS: stratum+ssl://veinpool.fr:13681
  • SOLO: stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3682 · TLS: stratum+ssl://veinpool.fr:13682

1. Get a PXC address

You need a PXC receiving address whose keys you control: the official Phoenixcoin wallet is the safest choice. Avoid exchange deposit addresses for solo mining: some exchanges do not accept block rewards (coinbase).

2. Download a mining software

Miners that work with Phoenixcoin on VeinPool. Only download them from their official page (links below); the fees shown are the software's own dev fee, separate from the pool fee:

3. Start mining

Replace YOUR_ADDRESS with your PXC address and rig1 with your machine's name. Command for each miner (port 3680):

CryptoDredge

CryptoDredge -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3680 -u YOUR_ADDRESS.rig1 -p x

ccminer

ccminer -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3680 -u YOUR_ADDRESS.rig1 -p x

cpuminer-opt

cpuminer-avx2.exe -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://veinpool.fr:3680 -u YOUR_ADDRESS.rig1 -p x

On Windows, paste the line into a .bat file inside the miner's folder; on Linux, start the program with ./ followed by its name. On the Phoenixcoin page above, the generator writes the full command (PowerShell, .bat, Linux, HiveOS, MMPOS) with your address and a Copy button.

Pool (PPLNS) or SOLO?

PPLNS pool: everyone's hashrate is combined and each block is split according to the work each miner really did. Steady income, recommended for most rigs.

SOLO: your rig mines alone; when it finds a block it receives the reward (3.125 PXC) minus the 1% pool fee. On a small network like Phoenixcoin, a single machine can find blocks regularly; the calculator shows your exact odds.

For farms, port 3681 (PPLNS) starts at a higher difficulty: fewer shares to send, same earnings.

How much can you earn mining Phoenixcoin?

Earnings depend on your hashrate, the network difficulty and the PXC price. The Phoenixcoin calculator estimates them live (pool and solo); electricity cost is optional. The hardware ranking compares GPUs and CPUs.

Common problems

  • Antivirus deletes the miner: most antivirus software flags mining tools. Only download them from their official page (links above), then add an exclusion for their folder.
  • No stats on VeinPool: check the address, port and hostname; stats appear after the first shares (1 to 2 minutes).
  • Hashrate lower than expected (GPU): update your graphics driver and close apps that use the GPU (games, browsers playing video).

Phoenixcoin mining FAQ

Which software should I use to mine Phoenixcoin?

On VeinPool, Phoenixcoin can be mined with CryptoDredge, ccminer, cpuminer-opt. The pool page generates the exact command for Windows, Linux, HiveOS and MMPOS.

Which port should I use to mine Phoenixcoin on VeinPool?

Phoenixcoin pool ports: Pool (PPLNS) → veinpool.fr:3680; Pool (PPLNS) · farms → veinpool.fr:3681; SOLO → veinpool.fr:3682. Use the PPLNS port for steady income, or the SOLO port to go for whole blocks.

What are the fees to mine Phoenixcoin?
